The Philips Prophesy TV is a limited edition TV from the Dutch manufacturer Philips. It was manufactured in Italy.

The TV had a special design. The designers went out of their way to make the TV look like a perfect black cube. This did require some cleverness. For instance, the front panel is taped with Velcro to hide the function buttons. Also, the connections at the back are only approachable through a plastic flap. The TV is placed on a swivel base. So you can turn it the way you like.

To give the whole thing an extra luxurious look, a fluorescent light is integrated into the case at the back and can be turned on with a special button on the back of the TV. When turned on, it illuminates the entire wall behind the TV. A kind of Ambilight avant la lettre.

The TV has Scart and an integrated antenna connection, which makes it suitable to connect multiple retro consoles.
