Description
The CD-i 470 was a compact CD-i player that came on the market in 1995 (the twilight of the CD-i system). The console was designed to fit seamlessly into 26 cm hi-fi systems. Following the example of the CD-i 450 and 550, the 470 was relatively cheap. You could already get one for about 700 guilders. For that money, however, no Integrated Digital Video Cartridge was included. This cartridge had to be purchased separately. However, it was included in the more expensive, visually identical model (490). Due to its low price, it was a popular CD-i player, although it could not prevent the downfall of the system.
