Philips introduced the Peacekeerp Revolver as a bundle with the light gun game Mac Dog McCree in 1994. The bundle was retailing for $60 dollars. The bundle game with a sensor which needed to be placed on or in front of the TV in order for it to register movement. Furthermore the gun required calibration, and this was accomplished via menu options in all supported games.
A total of 10 games where released for the light gun. However, due to the terrible controllers that Philips brought out for the console, the light gun was also the preferable controller in a lot of the FMV games, because aiming by pointing was much more easy than using the D-pad buttons.
Saillant détail, at the beginning of 2011, Philips started a patent dispute with Nintendo over the use of the sensor bar for the Wii and later the Wii U. It was settled out of court in 2014.
