Description
The Philips N30 is a Pong console released exclusively for the French market in 1977. The console is similar to T-02 from Philips’ sister company ‘Radiola’.
Technically, the N30 offers two monochrome tones (black and white) and slightly more advanced games compared to the N20. The possibility to select games with a switch has disappeared in favor of a selection-button on the joysticks.
Another advantage, the console comes with an AC adapter.
The console has two removable joysticks. The push button in the middle can be used to select one of the 6 pre-programmed games:
– Tennis;
– Football;
– Pelote Basque;
– Handball
– Bowling
– Billard
The AV10 gun that was introduced alongside of the N20 did not work on the N30.
Philips released several consoles exclusively in France with an ‘N’ in the name, including the slightly more advanced Pong console ‘Philips N30’ and the beautiful and rare ‘Videopac N60’.
